Motorized Screens with Luxury Vinyl
For outdoor spaces, we offer another screen type: not a screen at all, but luxury vinyl. These clear walls retain heat in cool months and keep your space cooler in hot months.
Control Options
Select Phantom motorized screens are powered by Somfy. On those models, you get the full Somfy lineup of remotes, wall switches, and sun and wind sensors to work with.
Some of our motorized screens ship with the Somfy Maestria 50 RTS motor. It senses obstacles, adjusts tension automatically, and keeps the mesh from getting damaged if something gets in the way during operation. We can also tie your screens into Lutron, Crestron, and most smartphone-based home automation setups, so the same app or panel that runs your lights and shades can run your screens too.
Sun and Wind Sensors
Sensors take the work out of running your screens. A sun sensor will lower the screens when the afternoon glare hits hard and pull them back up when it cools off. The wind sensor is the one Florida homeowners really appreciate – when a Gulf Coast thunderstorm rolls in fast, your screens retract on their own before the gusts can push them around.
Hand-held Remotes
One button down. Another button up. That’s pretty much it. Remotes come in single-channel or multi-channel versions, so you can run one screen by itself or drop a whole row of them at once. Handy when your lanai has three or four openings and you don’t want to walk around hitting switches.
Wall Switch
Not a fan of remotes that wander off into couch cushions? A wall switch stays put. They’re wireless and battery-powered, so we can mount them wherever it makes sense – no need to run wires through finished walls. Available in white.
Mount Options
How your screens mount depends on whether we’re working with new construction or an existing lanai. Recessed mounts hide the housing inside the structure so you barely notice the screens are there. Surface mounts attach to what you already have – a great option for retrofits where we don’t want to tear into your soffit or ceiling. We’ll walk through both options when we come out for the measure.

Luxury Vinyl Types
Vinyl panels do something mesh can’t – they actually hold heat in or keep it out. Clear vinyl lets you keep the view of your pool or backyard while taking the edge off a chilly January morning or a muggy August afternoon. Each panel comes in a clear field with one of five perimeter colors, so you can match the trim to the rest of your outdoor space.
Clear vinyl meets the following fire ratings: NFPA 701, ASTM E 84 Class A, CSFM Reg. Title 19.
