Motorized wall screen installation on a covered outdoor living space

Motorized Outdoor Living Screens

Motorized retractable screens appear at the touch of a button and disappear when you don't need them. Perfect for indoor and outdoor living spaces, these custom made and professionally installed screens give you fresh air, shade from the sun, climate control, protection from insects or a bit of privacy.

Outdoor Space That Actually Works in Florida

If you’ve got a lanai or covered patio that’s unusable half the year, motorized screens fix that. Bugs are the obvious culprit — mosquitoes, no-see-ums, love bugs — but wind-driven rain and harsh afternoon sun push people inside too.

A motorized screen drops down at the touch of a button and gives you a real outdoor room. When you don’t need it, the whole thing rolls up into a housing tucked into the soffit or beam. We install these all over the Tampa Bay area, custom measured to fit each opening.

How a Motorized Screen Works

The screen mesh is rolled up inside an aluminum housing mounted at the top of the opening. When you activate it, a quiet motor lowers the screen down along side tracks until it reaches the floor. Hit the button again and it rolls back up.

You can control it a few different ways:

Handheld remote, Wall-mounted switch (looks like a regular light switch), Smart home integration through systems like Control4, Crestron, or Lutron
Wind and sun sensors that retract the screen automatically when needed

Most homeowners end up using a combination. A wall switch by the back door, a remote on the patio table, and the phone app for when you’re not home and a storm rolls in.

Motorized screens for all outdoor spaces

        Built for Any Outdoor Space

Every motorized screen we install is measured and built for the exact opening it’s going into. Tell us what you’re working with — covered lanai, balcony, pergola, pool deck, second-story porch — and we’ll show you how to screen it in.

        Mesh and fabric options

        Mesh & Fabric Options

The mesh you pick controls what gets through and what doesn’t. Tighter weaves stop the smallest bugs and cut more sun. Looser weaves let in more breeze and light. We also carry clear vinyl and blackout fabric for spaces where you want full weather protection or total privacy — keep heat in during cooler months, keep it out in summer.

        Colors and finishes options

        Colors & Finishes

Pick from our standard color lineup or one of the wood grain finishes if you want the housing to blend into a beam or ceiling. Need something specific to match existing trim or a custom paint color? We can do that too. The goal is a screen that looks like it belongs there, not one that stands out.

        Warranty and professional installation

        Warranty & Professional Installation

We don’t do DIY kits. Every screen we sell gets installed by our own team — no subcontractors, no handing you a box and wishing you luck. Phantom backs every screen with a limited lifetime warranty, and since we’ve been doing this for years, you’ve got people who actually know the product standing behind it.

        Weighted sidebar guide system

        Weighted Sidebar

Push a button and the screen lowers or retracts. A weighted bar at the bottom keeps everything taut and tracking straight as it travels between the two side rails — one mounted on each side of the opening.

        Scenery not screen-ery

        Scenery, Not Screen-ery

Drop the screen when you need it. Roll it back up when you don’t. The whole system tucks into a low-profile housing that blends into your soffit, beam, or ceiling — so when the screen’s up, you’ve got your view back.

        Controls and smart home integration

        Controls & Smart Home Integration

Run your screens with a handheld remote, a wall switch, or your phone. Phantom uses Somfy motors, so they tie into Lutron, Crestron, and most major smart home systems. Add sun and wind sensors and the screens move on their own when the weather shifts.

        Various mounting options

        Various Mounting Options

New build, renovation, or retrofit — these screens fit. The housing and tracks can be recessed into the framing for a hidden look, or surface-mounted to existing beams and soffits when tearing into the structure isn’t an option. Every opening gets measured individually so the install matches the lines of your home.
