Services

One of the great things about retractable screens from Phantom is they need minimal maintenance. As the screens are retracted when not in use, they stay in their housings during wet and cold months. We would recommend cleaning the screens once or twice a season to eliminate any small dust particles in the mesh.

Phantom screens are not something you buy off a shelf. Every screen we install is custom built for the exact opening it goes into, which is why the measuring step matters so much. Get the measurements wrong and the screen does not work right. Get them right, and you have got a screen that runs smoothly for years.

Here is what working with us actually looks like.

Step 1: The Free In-Home Estimate

Call us at 1-727-372-5900 or request a quote online and we will set up a time to come out. We cover the whole Tampa Bay area, so whether you are in South Tampa, Wesley Chapel, Clearwater, Brandon, or anywhere in between, the estimate visit is on us.

When we get there, we will walk through your home with you and look at the openings you are trying to screen. Front door. Sliding glass doors out to the lanai. That oversized opening on the pool deck. Whatever you have got. We will talk about how you actually use the space, point out anything that affects how the screen needs to be built, and answer questions about mesh types, colors, motorized versus manual, all of it.

By the end of the visit you will have a real quote. No high-pressure pitch.

Step 2: Detailed Measurements

For most door screens, we take final measurements on the same visit as the install. The Phantom door screen system is designed to be customized on-site, which means one trip and you are done. That is how about 90% of our door jobs go.

For the bigger stuff – motorized patio screens, retractable wall screens, oversized openings, window screens – we come back for a separate measuring appointment. These products get built at the Phantom factory based on our numbers, so we want to take our time and double-check everything before anything goes into production. Florida homes have a lot of variety. A 1960s block house in Seminole Heights does not measure up the same way as a new build in Riverview, and we account for that.

Step 3: Building Your Screen

Once measurements are locked in and you have signed off on color, mesh, and hardware choices, the order goes to Phantom. Every screen is hand-built in their 45,000 square foot facility. Lead times vary depending on the product and time of year, but we will give you a realistic window when you order.

Door screens tend to be quicker. Motorized and oversized screens take a bit longer because there are more components and they get built specifically for your opening.

Step 4: Professional Installation

When your screen is ready, we schedule the install. This is not subcontracted out – our own guys do every installation. We have been putting these screens in across Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco counties for years, and we know what works on Florida homes specifically.

A standard door screen install usually takes a couple of hours. Larger motorized systems take longer, especially if there is electrical work involved or the opening is complicated. Either way, we clean up after ourselves, walk you through how to operate the screen, and make sure you know how to take care of it before we leave.

Why Professional Installation Matters

You can find DIY retractable screens online. They are not the same product, and they are not installed the same way. A Phantom screen that is measured wrong or installed crooked will not retract smoothly, will not seal properly against bugs, and will not last. We have seen plenty of bad installs we have been called out to fix. Doing it right the first time is cheaper than doing it twice.

Plus, our installs are backed by Phantom’s limited lifetime warranty. That warranty means something because the install is done by factory-trained people who know the product.
